the very best place to get awesome fresh fish and shrimp. you can pick out the types sizes how many fish you would like¡ they will clean them if you like right in front of you! also, this is going to leave you just wanting to make this your go to spot!! they also will fry fish and shrimp for you . they have specials listed. but please know if you see a different one in the counter you want fried pay per pound they will clean it and fry it... i like to pick my own flounder .. a little more but ohhh so much better and goes further!!! i never liked fish my entire life until my friend "coach" waymon smith (which i first met as my lyft driver but really through god, as a a friend and a brother ... introduced me to my favorite spot!! they have the most scrumptious shrimp too!! oh my go by and get you a plate and meet a beautiful family that gives love in every plate!!

I had the pleasure of eating some fried fish. I've been eating here for years . I love this place. They have good fresh fish. They cook good fried fish.

As far as fish markets go, I'm not sure what more you could ask for. I've gone here to get fish several times and it's always clean and the staff is always patient and willing to answer any questions you have about the selections. They'll cut/clean/prepare the fish however you choose and you can get it fried if you want.

It's a fish market! So it's a little fishy but today smells more fresh compared to other days. Hard workin folks providing a good service and quality fish. I'm glad they're still open and hope they prosper. You can buy their fish and/or ask them clean and fry for you.

Don't judge a book by its cover is what I have to say about this place! There is nothing appealing about the looks of this establishment. In fact, I drove past Ponderosa on a regular basis for over a year before I finally stopping to take a look inside to see what it was all about. This occurred last week. Again, there is nothing really impressive about the inside. Keep in mind that it is an old and small building. What is impressive is the display of its fresh and well-chilled fish presented on beds of ice. An entire fish is what you will be looking at, from head to tail. From what I understand, the variety of fish is contingent on what is in season. The fish is shipped in daily and this is what makes this place special. It is a hidden gem if you are in the mood to eat fresh fish. What I really liked about this place was the options to choose from. I'm not just speaking about the fish selection, but the options presented to you after you select your fish. You can choose to purchase the entire fish and clean it yourself when you get home. Or, you can have it cleaned right then and there. Furthermore, you can choose the method of preference as to how you want your fish gutted and cut. The next thing I got a kick out of was that they will fry your fish for you and made readily available for you to eat at their tables. Or, you can have it fried and take it and go. A saw customers doing both equally. My girlfriend and I chose to eat it when it was fresh out of the fryer. We only had Tilapia, but it was arguably the best tasting Tilapia I have ever eaten! Of worth noted is that this place was consistently busy the entire time we were there. Further, it appeared that every customer was smiling and excited in their anticipation of enjoying a great meal ahead of them. My girlfriend and I have added this to our list of places to eat. We will be back again soon. That is all I can think of at the moment. Due to the lack of comments I felt obligated to write a current detailed review for others to review. In sum, I had a really good experience at this place. I hope my review leads to others in having a good experience too.
